About Us

Welcome to the third season of the Salt Creek Song Festival! It's remarkable how far we've come in just three years – from an aspirational vision shared by two singers to securing 501(c)(3) status and finding a home at the historic St. Stephen’s. This year, our theme, It’s about time, resonates deeply as we reflect on our journey. Time, in its various forms – from the passage of hours to the seasons of life – is indeed precious, and we’re truly honored that you've chosen to share some of yours with us.

As we celebrate this milestone, we're thrilled to present an incredible lineup for this year’s festival. Get ready for a week filled with both familiar faces, exciting newcomers, a powerful Midwest premiere, and the world premiere of two Salt Creek Song Festival commissions. Each event promises meaningful connections to the music, the artists, and the vibrant art scene here in Ashland. We’re glad you’re here.

  • Mission

The Salt Creek Song Festival is dedicated to being a cultural resource in Saunders County and the surrounding Great Plains region. The first song festival of its kind in Nebraska, SCSF finds its inspiration in world class performances and gatherings featuring Midwest oriented artists, composers, and performers of song. SCSF seeks to be in community and to build relationships with those of all walks of life in Nebraska and beyond and to enrich the region by presenting a diverse program of the full range of art song. SCFS looks to foster an environment that amplifies the voices of artists of a broad range of disciplines who find meaning and connection in the Midwest.
