Eva Nikolaidou

Eva Nikolaidou, a native of Greece, is currently pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Glenn Korff School of Music, studying with Dr. Paul Barnes. She earned her Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from the University of South Dakota, where she was mentored by Dr. Alessandra Feris, and holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Pedagogy from the Ionian University, where she studied with Dr. Athina Fytika. She was awarded a semester of study at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz, Austria, through the Erasmus program.

Eva is dedicated to performing and promoting new music. Recent projects include the North American premiere of Paul Lombardi's "Through Tunnels of Words", a set of 43 miniature songs for soprano and piano, presented in Vermillion, SD, as well as the premiere of "The String", an audiovisual work for piano, tape, and video, by Greek composer Ioannis Panagiotou, held in Lincoln, NE.
